Water Supply Issue at East Hoathly Surgery
Like much of the village, East Hoathly Medical Centre is currently without a water supply.
Unfortunately, this means it is unsafe for us to continue seeing patients at the surgery today. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to patients who were due to attend appointments.
If you have an appointment at East Hoathly Medical Centre today, a member of our reception team will contact you to advise where your appointment will take place.
Patients who wish to collect medication from the dispensary are asked to do so before 1:00 pm, after which our team will be relocating to an alternative site.
We have been registered as a priority customer with South East Water and will provide further updates as soon as we receive them. In the meantime, the surgery doors will be closing shortly.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

For suspected contacts of meningococcal disease, we have been asked to direct patients to the local UKHSA Health Protection Team (HPT) rather than a single national public helpline.
📞 UKHSA contact routes
🔹 Main route (for patients and clinicians)
- UKHSA Health Protection Team (South East – covers Kent)
☎️ 0344 225 3861
👉 This is the correct number for:
- Kent meningitis outbreak enquiries
- Contact tracing / prophylaxis queries
- Advice on whether someone qualifies as a close contact
