The Practice Provides A Range Of Clinics Including

You may see either a Practice Nurse for this or one of the doctors. The receptionist will arrange an appropriate appointment.

Services Provided By The Practice

Antenatal care is provided, by appointment with the midwife who has a clinic at East Hoathly on a Wednesday. She may be contacted at The Birthing Centre on 01892 654080.

Childhood Immunisations are given by one of the practice nurses on Thursday afternoons at Buxted and Wednesday mornings at East Hoathly. Normally, appointments are sent out as immunisations are due.

Family Planning Advice is offered by all of the doctors and nurses during normal surgery hours. “Morning after” contraception should be obtained as early as possible.  Buxted has a coil clinic on alternate Monday afternoons

Cervical Smears are usually taken by a Practice Nurse, but occasionally by one of the doctors. Buxted has a nurse led clinic on Monday afternoons.

Smoking Cessation Advice. Advice on stopping smoking is available from the practice nurses and doctors.

Mental Health Counselling can be arranged by any of the doctors and can take place at the Buxted Medical Centre as well as Uckfield Hospital.

Travel Advice is given by the practice nurses who can administer necessary immunisations for travel to different countries as well as advising on specific anti-malarial treatments. Some vaccinations require a fee. We are a designated Yellow Fever Centre.

Minor Surgery is carried out on a pre-booked appointments basis only. Procedures include removal of lumps and bumps, hormone implants, removal of in-growing toe nails and joint injections. We also provide an ear microsuction service.
